Chicca’s has long been a beloved dining destination in Luz. This charming restaurant has earned a reputation at its old smaller location for its exceptional quirky food, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, but now its in a bigger location and with a new menu as part of the Estrela da Luz Complex.
Chicca’s offers a diverse menu that caters to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences. From the delectable tuna steak to the mouthwatering chicken and tender spare ribs, the dishes served at Chicca’s are consistently praised for their exceptional quality and generous portions.
What truly sets Chicca’s apart, however, is the attentive and friendly service provided by the staff. Customers rave about the warm welcome they receive, with one reviewer noting the staff’s willingness to accommodate special requests, even going so far as to create a custom vegan salad that was the most beautiful and delicious the customer had ever tasted.
While the indoor seating may not always be the most comfortable, with one customer mentioning the need for air conditioning, the option to dine al fresco allows guests to soak in the charming ambiance of Praia da Luz while savoring their meal. The restaurant’s beautiful decor and inviting atmosphere only add to the overall dining experience.
I would also point out personally that Chicca’s is an eclectic and acquired taste, for better and worst, i would always recommend at least one visit, you will love it or maybe hate it, the dishes of the day and more popular dishes tend to be really yummy but sometimes other options are just ok, they are also known for being somewhat inconsistent with the food (and from reviews from the new place and maybe also the bigger menu this seems to have persisted), but overall the dishes always come with big portions and are a bit messy but that’s for me part of the charm and style that makes Chicca’s stand out, I kinda prefer a huge messy dessert than a beautiful tiny spoon of chocolate mousse in a huge empty plate… but I guess that’s just me ;D
