From August 3rd to 11th, the historic city of Lagos, Algarve will come alive with the vibrant sounds of world music at the Lagos World Music festival. Hosted in the Praça do Infante, this free outdoor event invites music lovers to immerse themselves in the diverse cultural tapestry of global rhythms and melodies.
Organized by Ibérica Eventos & Espetáculos and the Municipality of Lagos, the Lagos World Music festival aims to be a unifying celebration of the world’s musical traditions. Over four evenings, audiences will be treated to captivating performances that span the continents – from the pulsing samba rhythms of Brazil, to the passionate strains of Spanish folk, the mariachi horns of Mexico, and the rich, percussive sounds of Angola and Portugal.
